That's all for now I think. If I think/see anything more of interest I'll post it ASAFP!

Permanent Accounts may be going on sale soon, but SixApart will be damned
lucky if I even buy a years paid account for this LJ!

No, I am not Anti-LJ. I am Anti-SixApart. I've had a livejournal in one
form or another since 2001, long before 6A bought out LJ and made all
these ghastly changes. Though I will say not all the changes have been
bad, but most of them certainly have not been good. Dunno why I feel
the need to went every so often about things like this but it feels good
to let it out every once in a while.

I just had to get out of the house today. After a weeks work all I wanted to do was go somewhere that wasn't home or work, so I went to Wal-Mart for a bit of release. I bought me a few things that I knew I'd enjoy and not worry (too much) about how much I was spending. I indulged in a couple of Dove Dark Chocolate bars, a couple of tabloid mags and a two-pack of PotC chapstick in Berry Bounty (do NOT get the other one, it burns) and I reserved my copy of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows. But before I did any of that I made an album for my favorite Drew Barrymore pictures. (I particularly love the last 7 photos from Vogue. My favorite actress with my favorite animal. Eeps!)

While I was at Wal-mart though I wandered into the toy department (come on the toys nowadays are WAY cooler than the toys of my day) And well I saw something I would've expected to find with the DVD.

Mighty Morphin Power Rangers: The Movie! Yep the very first one with Tommy, Billy (My pre-Daniel Jackson crush heh. I've always had a thing for guys in glasses *shrugs*), Kim, Rocky, Adam and Aiesha(Sp?) Well so YEAH I was gonna snag a copy! For $5.50 why the heck not? (The last great Power Rangers team before everything went to hell!) The last great DVD find I had was Spice World (yeah I liked the movie AND the Spice Girls...still do. heh) BTW I read from People Magazine that they're reuniting. Woohoohoo! Laugh at me and I'll be forced to hurt you, lol.

Well yeah that's enough from me for now.

A little link I stumbled across yesterday while looking for lyrics to "Hoist the Colors"\

Hoist the Colours @ StealthFiction

This place has a clip of the After Credits scene (although very small and you can tell someone recorded it with a cell phone) of PotC 3 and the full version (longer than the soundtrack version) of "Hoist the Colors"

And the lyrics I was looking for. The Boy/Pirates/Opening scene version:

The king and his men
stole the queen from her bed
and bound her in her Bones.
The seas be ours
and by the powers
where we will, we’ll roam.

Yo, ho, haul together,
Hoist the Colors High.
Heave ho, thieves and beggars
never shall we die. (3 times)

Elizabeth's version:

Some men have died
and some are alive
and others sail on the sea
– with the keys to the cage
and the Devil to pay
we lay to Fiddler’s Green!

The bell has been raised
from it’s watery grave
Do you hear it’s sepulchral tone?
We are a call to all,
pay head the squall
and turn your sail toward home!

Yo, ho, haul together,
hoist the Colors high
Heave ho, thieves and beggars,
never say we die.

Edit 6:23 p.m.:
Mom thought Elizabeth would get together with Jack at the end. Yipes!

In a perfect existence in which I won a multi-million dollar lottery. These are the thing I would but (for myself)

-A lime green iPod and a black video iPod
--A Chocolat cell phone in (yes, lime)
---A Honda Element
----A Ford Mustang
-Seasons 1-7 of Stargate SG-1
--2 or 3 designer purses because I salivate over them in magazines
---A house of my own, hell I may just buy back the property I used to live on, tear down the house of nightmares and rebuild on top of its ruins, my dream home.
----Go to a bookstore and just buy EVERYTHING that catches my eye.
-----Have a professional web designer (or someone who just LOVES to tinker) to my specifications build me own personal site (Though don't expect anything as *cough* TACKY as Anne Rice's site

*snerk* like I said IF I ever won a multi-million dollar lottery...not expecting it to happen any time soon

I haven't mentioned much about last weekend, mostly because there was very little to tell. For the first time in ages Mom left the house to myself all by my lonesome. She left with my Aunt and Uncle Late Friday morning leaving me to get ready for work for my 3-11 PM shift. Work was very typical. Though whenever I thought to ask mom something after work, I'd then realize I couldn't because Mom was in Virginia bout that time and wouldn't be coming back 'til Sunday afternoon. I consoled myself with the thought of getting a very late dinner at McDonald's once I got off of work.

After I got home, nothing worth particular mention happened. I got online and stayed there 'til about 4 or 5 AM and that was when I decided to go to bed... in mom ultra cushy and soft bed. Am so divinely jealous of that bed! A little while after I woke up and got changed, Dad came over and we went out to get his groceries. He gave me a little money to spend (seeing as I wouldn't receive my first check 'til next week) I bought a handful of trinkets with the paltry amount. One of which was a packet of 2 tubes of Pirate of the Caribbean lip balm. The flavor however turned out to be a mistake, I should've gotten the berry flavor instead as the one I got was all sting-y.

The rest of the day was pretty much dull it was odd not having Mom pop in and out of my room all day and again later that night I got to sleep in the worlds comfiest bed. And so a while later after Mom got home she presented me with a souvenir! A Harley-Davidson T-Shirt that said "I'm not speeding I'm qualifying" and a pack of headbands which I've been needing fo ages.

Lucky Mom she got to ride on a motorcycle 156-miles, round trip, with her brother, sister, and brother in law. Guh! I cannot tell you how supremely jealous I was/am!

In other news Vox/SixApart still sucks. [info]barakb25 over on [info]news is such a clueless idiot he has no idea about LiveJournal.

And now, or tomorrow actually me and mom are going to see PotC3, we've been in suspense since last summer to see what happens next. (Although I know what happens and I'm not giving Mom any spoilers!)

Wow, here I was going to spend all the time I could planning my dream site (pshhh if it won't happen for a while. IF it ever happens, hence the dream bit) but instead all I could think of was my tummy rumbling because Mom failed to explain how she re-packed MY lunchbag in such a way I thought all I had for lunch tonight was a cup of lemon pudding and a wee little 3 Musketeers candy bar, leaving me with a rumbling tummy for about 4-5 hours

....next time Mom leave my lunchbag alone. I can actually find my food that way....

Personal sites like silverthoughts.net, make me extremely jealous because I lack such amazing web skills (and resources to make such pretty pretty art). Believe it or not but when I first stumbled onto the internet for the first time 6 or 7 years ago, this was one of the first, if not the very first, personal website I've ever seen (I first ran across it because she owns/runs the vampirelouis yahoo group).

Although her site has had many different looks over the years. I can see now that shes taken a few steps back in time and made a layout that looked similar to a few of her very first ones.

But should I ever, somehow meet someone who can make me a site as nice as this, these are a few f the names I'd consider for it (and I've been dreaming about it for ages). NO I do not consider gatepirate.weebly.com to be a personal site, but a fic site (and they have a fabulous lack of true variety with their site skins)

cindermusings.net (loves this one the most!)
cinderjewel.net
cinderbijjy.net
bijjy.com or net
